 Recipe 1: Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

- 4 slices of bread

- 1/4 cup of butter, softened

- 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, grated

- 1/4 cup of Monterey Jack cheese, grated

- 2 tablespoons of apple jelly

- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

- Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat at medium speed.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side, layer the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. Spread apple jelly and Dijon mustard on two slices of bread, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Close the sandwiches with the buttered sides out.
  3. Grill the sandwiches in the oven for 3-4 minutes per side until bread is toasted and cheese is melted. Enjoy!

Recipe 2: Chili

Ingredients:

- 500g of beef mince

- 1 onion, chopped

- 1 green bell pepper, chopped

- 1 garlic clove, minced

- 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained

- 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained

- 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

- 1 can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained

- 2 tablespoons chilli powder

- 1 teaspoon cumin

- salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat at medium speed.
  2. In a large saucepan, cook beef mince, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat.
  3. Stir in tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, chilli powder and cumin—season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over the oven for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve chilli bowls topped with shredded cheese and sour cream, if desired. Enjoy!
